Upakarma, also known as Avani Avittam is a significant ritual for atonement for non-pursuit of vedic studies and reaffirms commitment to pursue the same, wtih Vedarambham. This tradition holds great importance as it symbolizes the renewal of knowledge, spiritual growth, and connection with ancient Vedic wisdom, passed down through generations
To facilitate this, VEDA is arranging 3 batches both inperson and online. In-Person is highly recommended as it enables each one of you to be in the space with the Vedic Guru and also get their Aasirvadham.
In-temple participants: Please bring plate and panchapatram; all other items will be provided. Dhoties and panchapatram are available for sale at temple.
First time upakarma (thalai avani avittam) participants please register for 10am Homam batch and for Gayathri Homam.
Online Participants:
1. Please chose your slot while registration.
2. All the required items (yagnopaveetam, dharbai etc) will be packed and kept for you to collect from VEDA temple after 6pm on the day before the event.
3. You will receive a online participation link the day before the event. This is setup as a Google Meet session - please check email as well as check "Calendar" in your google account to get connection details.
Due to limitation on our site, each person needs to register separately.
